Service Delivery Project Manager - HCM Services

AlphaStaffHCM is seeking a Project Manager for HCM Services to lead and coordinate project activities across the full lifecycle of HCM service delivery. This role ensures smooth transitions from Sales to Service, manages project-based HCM initiatives, and drives improvements to processes and products within the HCM Service Launch.

The Project Manager partners closely with Strategic Account Executives, HR Account Managers, Sales, and cross-functional teams to manage timelines, milestones, and client communication. This client-facing role requires strong organizational, communication, and change management skills.


Salary: 90K - 110K


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Client Project Management

  • Lead project management for all HCM Services engagements, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met.
  • Serve as the primary project coordinator for clients during HCM service projects, including scheduling, progress tracking, and milestone management.
  • Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and pull-ups with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear documentation, RAID logs, and project artifacts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure alignment between Sales, Strategic Account Executives, HR Account Managers, and service teams to deliver a consistent client experience.

Sales-to-Service Transitions

  • Own the project management process for Post Implementation Assessments (PIAs), partnering with the HR Account Manager and Strategic Account Executive.
  • Coordinate handoffs from Sales to Service, ensuring clarity of scope, expectations, and client needs.
  • Track progress of PIAs, manage timelines, and ensure deliverables are completed and communicated effectively.

Internal HCM Service Launch & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive ongoing progress of the HCM Service Launch, including Phase 1 refinement and Phase 2 development.
  • Gather feedback from internal teams and clients to identify process, product, and workflow enhancements.
  • Partner with leadership to prioritize improvements, manage change adoption, and support rollout of new services and methodologies.
  • Maintain and evolve project management standards, templates, and tools used across HCM Services.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Client Services, HR, Payroll, Benefits, and BI teams to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Provide clear communication to senior leadership regarding project status, risks, and resource needs.
  • Support vendor coordination when applicable to the project scope.

 

Qualifications:

 Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in a client-facing or service delivery environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Highly proficient in Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools such as Smartsheet.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage up, down, and across teams to maintain accountability and progress.
  • Experience mapping processes and documenting workflows (Visio or similar).

Preferred:

  • Experience in the PEO, HCM, HR, or employee benefits/insurance industry.
  • Change management experience.
  • Project Management certification (PMP or similar).

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based, with work performed on a computer in either a corporate office or a remote home office setting. The role may require using telephones, participating in virtual or in-person meetings, attending company events, and completing training sessions.
